That’s Me, Right There…

Faces in the Crowd is a "social activity" site that is all about having fun.

Here's the idea: A family from Connecticut is at a major theme park and takes a digital family photo. In the background of that photo, however, is also a family from Germany, a man from Wisconsin and 100+ other people from all over the world. These people are now a permanent part of the Connecticut family’s photo collection. And if they are in that photo, how many other photos might they appear in (from concerts, sporting events, class photos, parks), taken by people from other countries or people just down the street?

Facesinthecrowd.com provides a forum for uploading those crowd photos so that people from all over the world may view them online, look for their face in the crowd, circle it and add personal notes. Social activities for all the site’s users, including personal “My FitC” pages, voting, comments, and rankings, are then built around that central idea. It is kind of like “Where’s Waldo” but with real people finding and interacting with each other.

Anyone can search and browse, but signup free to upload photos, add "Hit Circles", vote and add comments. And be sure to use the ShareThis function at the top of every page to tell your friends about facesinthecrowd.com.

We'll eventually have contests to recognize FitC users who have circled their face in the highest number of other user's photos and, FitC users who have the highest number of Hit circles added to photos they have uploaded. But we need photos, so get shooting and get uploading!
